The really good news for humanity is that Jesus is now taking students in the master class of life. The eternal life that begins with confidence in Jesus is a life in his present kingdom, now on earth and available to all. So the message of and about him is specifically a gospel for our life now, not just for dying. It is about living now as his apprentice in kingdom living, not just as a consumer of his merits.

COHORTS ARE ESSENTIAL TO OUR DISCIPLESHIP PLAN

Odd as it sounds to our culture’s ears, you cannot learn to follow Jesus all by yourself.

Cohorts are groups of 3-4 people who meet a couple of times a month to go through the workbook together. Cohorts are where we learn, practice, and grow together in our discipleship to Jesus.

Fall 2026-Spring 2027 Shared and Personal Disciplines

This year we are encouraging cohort members to choose 1 spiritual discipline they will practice together for 9 months. This can be any of the disciplines we have begun practicing through Follow Jesus.

Additionally, we encourage each cohort member to pick 3 personal disciplines to practice over the next 9 months, but only focusing on 1 for each season. For example, prayer in the fall, confession in the winter, and witness in the spring.

So, the hope is that at any given time you’ll always be practicing your shared discipline alongside your cohort friends, but also your personal discipline for that season.

At every cohort gathering you and your cohort friends will go through your cohort card (~90 mins). Printed copies are available on Sundays but here is a digital copy incase you need it.

Discipleship is the process of becoming who Jesus would be if he were you.

As you practice your shared and personal disciplines, how will you do it?

There are a plethora of ways you could practice any given spiritual discipline. Our Follow Jesus Workbook is a great place to start to glean ideas. But, here are a list of goal examples to offer you some creative ideas for how you will practice. Please let these serve as a guide for inspiration, not a hard and fast rule.
