When Jesus gathered people around him, he never envisioned that we would follow him only as individuals. Community groups are places where we learn to follow Jesus, love our neighbor, and serve our city. ACTS 2 LANGUAGE???
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
Our groups spend time getting to know one another, followed by a time of studying Scripture, discussing our approach to discipleship, and concluding with a time of prayer. We are focused on building friendships and community, on growing in faith and learning how to follow Jesus in every area of life, supporting each other through prayer, and engaging in acts of service to the church and to our city.
What’s the Difference Between Groups with Cohorts and Living Room Groups?
We have two types of groups at CWE Church. “Living Room” groups are a traditional community group format that meet 3x a month, with an off week at the end of the month. Our groups with built-in cohorts meet as a large group 2x a month (weeks 1 and 3), but then meet in cohorts (gender specific groups of 3-4 people within the large group) on the 2nd and 4th week of the month.
INTERESTED IN LEADING A GROUP?
Community group leaders are members of the church (or people on their way to membership) who are ready to take the next step of service in the church. We consider group leaders our “frontline shepherds” who potentially serve in a number of roles: facilitator, host, caregiver, recruiter, and more. If you would like to learn more about becoming a leader, the first step is to fill out the application below!

The Loop Group
Meets Wednesdays at 7:00pm the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month in The Loop neighborhood.
Cohorts in this group meet the 2nd and 4th weeks.
Maplewood Women’s Group
A women’s group that meets Wednesdays at 7:30pm the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month in Maplewood.
Cohorts in this group meet the 2nd and 4th weeks.
South City Group
Meets Thursdays at 7:30pm the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month in the Tower Grove South neighborhood.
Cohorts in this group meet the 2nd and 4th weeks.
Living Room Groups
University City Group
Meets Wednesdays at 7:30pm the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd weeks of the month in the University City neighborhood.
Holly Hills Group
